Every Composite Pools USA shell is hand-crafted using a proven multi-layer construction process — engineered for decades of performance. Here's what's inside every pool we build.
Premium Gelcoat Finish
The innermost surface you see and touch. Applied by hand to a minimum thickness, our premium gelcoat is non-porous, UV-stabilized, and available in a full range of colors. It resists algae, staining, and chemical attack — and never needs replastering.
Vinyl Ester Resin Barrier Coat
A critical layer of vinyl ester resin is applied directly behind the gelcoat. This resin is specifically engineered for superior osmotic blister resistance — a common failure point in lesser fiberglass pools. This is our first line of structural defense.
Hand-Laid Fiberglass Mat
Multiple layers of chopped strand mat and woven roving fiberglass are hand-laid and saturated with premium resin. Each layer is rolled to remove air pockets and ensure complete wet-out. This builds the structural core of the shell.
Structural Core Build-Up
Additional layers of fiberglass and resin are built up to engineered thickness specifications. The result is a rigid, impact-resistant shell that flexes with ground movement rather than cracking — unlike concrete pools.
Perimeter Flange & Coping Ledge
A reinforced perimeter flange is laminated around the entire pool lip. This provides a solid, level mounting surface for coping, tile, and decking — and is a key structural element of the Unique Unit Body Design.
Final Inspection & Water Test
Every pool is inspected at multiple stages of production. Before leaving our factory, each shell undergoes a final water-fill test to verify structural integrity, surface quality, and dimensional accuracy.

Engineered Stability System™
Our pools are engineered with a proprietary rib and flange system that distributes structural loads evenly across the entire shell. This prevents the flexing, cracking, and "oil-canning" that plagues inferior fiberglass pools. The result is a pool that maintains its shape and structural integrity for decades.

Freeform pool shapes present unique engineering challenges — curves and organic shapes can create stress concentration points.
